Job Description Job Title: Compex Electrical Supervisor Location: Bristol / Reading / London Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum Hours : Monday – Friday 40 hours per week plus some overtime opportunities Permanent Office/Site based Technical Partners are looking for an experienced Compex Electrical Supervisor to join our clients ’ expanding delivery team across sites in Bristol, Reading, and London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical installation activities on hazardous areas and industrial sites, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee teams of electricians and subcontractors on projects involving ATEX installations, industrial power distribution, control systems, MCCs, instrumentation, and associated EC&I works. Key Responsibilities Supervise electrical installation teams on industrial and hazardous area projects Ensure all works comply with COMPEX, ATEX, and site-specific safety requirements Manage daily site activities, toolbox talks, RAMS, and permit systems Coordinate labour, materials, and project schedules with site management Ensure installations are completed to specification, programme, and quality standards Carry out inspections, snagging, and commissioning support activities Maintain strong communication with clients, project managers, and engineering teams Promote a strong health & safety culture on site Assist with progress reporting and site documentation Requirements Valid COMPEX 01-04 certification (essential) NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent SSSTS or SMSTS preferred ECS / JIB Gold Card Experience supervising industrial electrical installations Strong knowledge of hazardous area regulations and ATEX environments Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Renewables, or Process sectors advantageous Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation Full UK driving licence Our clients are specialists in hazardous area engineering, process automation, EC&I, industrial networking, and renewable energy infrastructure.
