About the Role A high-achieving and well-regarded secondary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics to join its successful humanities faculty on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic department for the remainder of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging PRE lessons mainly across Key Stages 3
* Inspire students to think critically about philosophical, ethical and religious issues
* Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with departmental expectations
* Contribute to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have strong subject knowledge in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics
* Be an effective classroom practitioner with excellent communication skills
* Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
* Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
