Position Purpose
As a Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our long-term strategy. Your insights will drive data-driven decisions, support executive presentations, and foster alignment across various business functions. You will report directly to the Director of Strategic Planning, making your contributions vital to our success.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct in-depth research and analysis on macro and industry trends, key competitors, and emerging technologies, translating findings into actionable insights for Encompass Health.
* Prepare quarterly update memos for internal distribution.
* Monitor progress against key objectives and initiatives through comprehensive data and financial analysis.
* Perform strategic analyses to articulate Encompass Health's positioning and regularly update key assumptions.
* Craft messaging for senior leadership content for important meetings, including Board of Directors and industry association gatherings.
* Collaborate with business units to drive enterprise strategy execution and partner on functional strategy projects.
* Provide ad hoc support and project assistance to departments outside of Strategic Planning.
* This position is based in our Birmingham, AL home office and is not remote.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
* Proven record of academic and professional excellence.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong skills in Word.
* Prior experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking.
* Healthcare experience is preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial statements.
* Ability to translate complex strategies into clear narratives and presentations.
* Experience analyzing large datasets to identify risks and opportunities.
