The UK Sports Institute has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Physiology Laboratory Technician based in Manchester, initially on a fixed-term contract until March 2026.
Role Overview
This position offers a unique chance to support a team of physiologists at the UK Sports Institute.
Previous experience as a laboratory technician is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will be supportive, caring, protocol-driven, practical, and able to demonstrate authority when necessary. They should be capable of working independently, showing initiative and sound judgment, and managing tasks without close supervision. This role may be especially suitable for part-time Masters or PhD students, or early-career practitioners seeking flexible, meaningful laboratory experience.
