As a personable and dynamic Service desk Engineer you will be based on site in Oxford, providing top-notch 1st / 2nd line support and contributing to the success of the service delivery team.
As the successful Service Desk Engineer you will have:
* Experience as a ServiceDesk engineer (1st line level) supporting SMEs.
* Windows Server 2016 and Windows 2019
* Windows 10
* Active Directory
* SharePoint 365
* Office 365
* Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Knowledge of the following:
* Basic Understanding and troubleshoot issues, using: MS Windows Server 2016 / 2019 and Office 365 based email
* PC/Server Hardware; diagnose and upgrade, both hardware and firmware on PC’s – understanding of Raid configurations, iLO, on servers.
* Active Directory – configure new users, new OU’s, configure sites and services, resolve issues.
* DNS
* Firewalls
As the successful Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution onsite to client.
* Performing problem diagnosis and guide users through step-by-step solutions in a desktop support-based environment.
* Logging and investigating customer tickets
* End to end ownership of a customer ticket, escalating to the ServiceDesk as necessary
* Managing and working to internal and customer SLAs
* Creating and maintaining documentation
