Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Distribution Manager the ReadyMix Concrete Plannerwill be responsible for processing orders and coordinating the day-to-day deliveries of ReadyMix concrete by vehicles owned and operated by Tarmac third party haulage base.Responsibilities for this role of ReadyMix Concrete Plannerwill include:Engaging with customers to receive and process Readymix concrete ordersScheduling delivery times in line with customer expectations Working alongside the distribution team and the wider area transport team to provide a cost effective, sustainable, safe and customer focused transport operation for the businessManagement of compliance and legal requirements both from a statutory, industry and Tarmac perspective ensuring all contract and/or third-party hauliers are operating to Tarmac standards, practices, and proceduresStrategically planning and building relationships with Third Party haulage suppliers through contract negotiationWorking with the Logistics and Production Managers to provide a medium to long term plan to meet demandsThis role is a Monday - Friday role on a rotating shift pattern (7am – 4.30pm and 8am – 5.30pm) and Saturday mornings when required (approx once per month)The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of ReadyMix Concrete Plannerwill have worked in a similar industry providing support to a wider team. Whilst industry experience is preferred it is not essential.
