From the widely read Church Times to acclaimed imprints like SCM Press and Canterbury Press, the organisation plays a vital role in shaping spiritual and cultural discourse across the UK and beyond. What You’ll Lead A vibrant publishing and media business, including books, periodicals, apps, and events. The Church Times – the UK’s only Anglican newspaper, with a growing digital presence. A thriving Christian bookshop near Westminster Abbey and a distribution hub in Norwich. Charitable initiatives supporting music, theology, and ministry to the disadvantaged. Your Mission As Chief Executive, you will: Develop and deliver a bold strategy for growth, innovation, and impact. Forge partnerships across the church, cultural, and publishing sectors. Champion the organisation’s mission nationally and internationally. Ensure operational excellence, financial sustainability, and strong governance. Inspire and lead a talented team across multiple locations. Who We’re Looking For You are: A strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a track record of transformation. Commercially astute, with strong financial and business planning skills. Deeply sympathetic to the Christian faith and ethos of Hymns Ancient & Modern. Experienced in publishing, media, or charity leadership. A collaborative and inspiring people leader, visible and approachable.
