Pay Rate: £83 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Barnsley. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a TA, you will provide essential support to both teachers and pupils, helping to create an engaging and well-structured classroom environment. You may work with individuals or small groups of pupils to support their progress and ensure all children have access to learning.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils.
* Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom management.
* Support children’s learning, confidence, and independence.
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience in an educational setting or working with children (desirable).
* A patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
