Salary: GBP48000 - GBP49000 per annum + Benefits
12hr Shifts – 4on 4off 11am-11pm

Would you like to work for a growing local business that has the job security of being part of a global food manufacturer? Due to additional high-speed production lines being installed they are looking for a new Shift Engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities
* Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering – manufacturing, production, site services, infrastructure & plant equipment
* Carry out PPM schedules effectively and efficiently
* Working on high-speed production & packaging lines
* Involved with site project work – installations & upgrades to machinery
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
* Dealing with pneumatics, motors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, drives, hydraulics, compressors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Multi-skilled maintenance engineer – ideally electrical biased
* City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified in engineering as a minimum requirement
* Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship
* Worked in a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
* PLC – electrical fault finding skills
* Able to work to time sensitive breakdowns and repairs
* Worked on structured PPMs – on own initiative and as part of a team
* Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer type conditions
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining skills beneficial
