We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Northampton, starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will nurture children’s development across all areas, including literacy, numeracy, communication, social, and emotional skills, while providing personalised support to help each child reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
* Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
* Promote early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL
* Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress accurately
* Foster independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
* Maintain learning journals and assessment records
* Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
* Have experience teaching Nursery or Reception
* Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
* Demonstrate excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management
* Be proactive, reflective, and adaptable
* Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
