Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000, depending on experience. Job Type: Full-Time.
About the Opportunity: I am seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join a highly respected, 100% employee-owned civil engineering firm that has proudly served North Carolina for over 50 years. As a Water & Wastewater Engineer, you will be an essential part of a collaborative team responsible for planning, permitting, and designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. This includes sewer systems, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and distribution networks.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, design, and oversee water and wastewater projects
* Conduct site visits and community assessments
* Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and design specifications
* Coordinate permitting processes and ensure regulatory compliance
* Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal team members
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
* PE license
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in treatment design, infrastructure
* Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
* Proven ability to manage deadlines and coordinate with stakeholders
