Overview
Maintenance Assistant - Full Time - FT (80303) role at Terrace Glen Village. The Maintenance Technician (Plant Operations Technician) assists the Plant Operations Director with maintaining the care of the community facility for residents, employees and the public. Responsibilities include general building maintenance such as lawn care, painting, remodeling, plumbing, and related tasks. This role requires the ability to work independently and be knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Follows and upholds the community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life
* Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community
* Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
* Follows infection control guidelines
* Observes residents rights including privacy, dignity, etc.
* Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
* Follows safety policies, assuring resident safety
* Follows and understands the community's Emergency Preparedness plans
* Maintain, repair and service all facility equipment and furnishings as required
* Assist with transportation of the community's residents as requested
* Must possess the ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
* Maintain and clean all flooring material
* Assist in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
* May be on-call as assigned
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry skills
* Possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record with ability to obtain a class D Chauffers’ license or applicable state required transport license
