Job Description:

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in adult psychiatry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services in Glasgow, the candidate will start on 08/07/2024 for an initial period of 2 months. As a psychiatrist, you will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients.
* Provide evidence-based treatment and interventions for a range of mental health disorders.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to deliver integrated care.
* Participate in clinical reviews and case conferences to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
* Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and initiatives.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

* Medical degree and completion of specialist training in psychiatry.
* CCT or equivalent, S12 Approved and AC status.
* Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
* Substantial experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
* Eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies.
