About the Role & Team
We are seeking a driven and client-focused Sales Account Director to grow and manage IDC's strategic relationships with the European Commission and Sovereign Wealth funds in Europe and META. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for some of IDC's most dynamic accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and deep alignment with evolving business needs. You will collaborate closely with IDC's research and product teams to deliver tailored market intelligence solutions, identify new opportunities, and guide initiatives from discovery through successful renewal and expansion. This position requires a strong, results-oriented mindset and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience across a diversity of accounts
What You'll Do
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities with assigned accounts in Europe/META regions
* Develop and manage a pipeline to maintain and expand the current revenue base and drive growth
* Understand client needs and challenges and align them with appropriate research solutions from IDC.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
* Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
* Maintain detailed records of sales activities and accurate forecasting in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
What You Bring
* Required degree or certifications – Bachelors degree
* Required years of relevant work experience – 10+ years of quota carrying sales experience. Would prefer direct experience in fields such as market intelligence, market research/data, consulting services.
* Essential technical skills – proficient with MS office. Also helpful to have experience leveraging external sales/lead data sources (S&P, ZoomInfo, etc.) and professional social media platforms (Including LinkedIn).
* Personal attributes that align with the position – professional integrity, resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative approach, personal accountability, ability to influence senior decision makers
* Percentage of travel required – approximately 25% travel in UK, Europe and Middle East
* Desired work model – remote with ability to travel to London office occasionally as needed for internal/external meetings
