Global Logistics Company - Sales Ledger Assistant - Felixstowe
Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Bonus (typically £1,500 – £2,000)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (1 hour lunch) – Office Based
A well-established and growing logistics services business based in Felixstowe is seeking a Sales Ledger Assistant to join its UK finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small, collaborative finance team of around 10 people, supporting multiple entities across the business.
The role would suit someone with some previous finance or accounts experience who is looking to develop their career in a fast-paced commercial environment. We are open to candidates at varying levels of experience – from someone early in their finance career with strong enthusiasm and attention to detail, through to a more experienced sales ledger professional.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the sales ledger across multiple entities
* Raising and issuing invoices accurately and on time
* Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
* Maintaining strong relationships with a diverse customer base, ranging from large corporate clients to small independent businesses
* Supporting credit control and ensuring timely payments
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting as required
* Working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function
About You
* Previous experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger, or a similar finance role
* Comfortable managing a varied customer portfolio
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator able to deal with clients of all sizes
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
