Overview
We are seeking a care assistant who will work as part of a team to positively contribute to the successful delivery of a high-quality standard of person-centred care by visiting people in their own homes and assisting them with household tasks, personal care, and with a variety of care duties, observing and respecting their dignity, privacy and promoting their independence.
ATC Healthcare is based in Central Milton Keynes but recruitment for this role will be for the provision of care in the Bedford area, to begin with; which may be extended to other areas in the future.
Applicants from surrounding areas such as Milton Keynes, Bedford, Northampton and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. Carers will be scheduled to work in all of theses areas.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Experience working within a care setting is desired
* A minimum of 6 months of experience in a Domiciliary care setting is preferred; those without a healthcare experience but with a willingness to learn will also be considered
* Compassionate, caring and respectful.
* Ability to read and implement care plans.
* A team player.
* Good communication skills (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Presentable with good personality.

Qualifications
* A minimum of a caregiving certificate that covers the 15-care standards or a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA) is essential
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
* A minimum of 6 months of experience in a Domiciliary care setting is preferred; those without a healthcare experience but with a willingness to learn will also be considered.
* Any other relevant Health Care Certificate will be an added advantage
* Must have full right to work in the UK (this job does not offer sponsorship)
* Valid DBS Certificate for adult and child
* Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle will be an added advantage

All members of staff are required to follow government guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. At a minimum, all staff must have a face mask when attending to clients in their homes and must have gloves with them. Staff may request gloves and hand gel.
