My Client is recruiting for an Associate Director Electrical Engineering in the Water Sector, with opportunities in Epsom, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Belfast, and Glasgow offices. Our Client specializes in all aspects of electrical engineering across multiple sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. Responsibilities:
1. Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
2. Define briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
3. Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
4. Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Set quality assurance standards in design.
6. Develop and manage electrical engineering capabilities within the practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Chartered Electrical Engineer.
* Electrical Engineering Degree (preferably).
* Experience in the Water Sector, owning design delivery including multidisciplinary design.
* Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments.
* Experience with HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practices, and production of SLD/BCD diagrams.
* Familiarity with UK design standards, industry-specific standards, and working practices.
