Specialist Advisory Teacher Communication and Interaction
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Advisory Teacher to join our Communication and Interaction Team (Autism) within Nottinghamshire’s SEND Inclusion Services. This part-time, fixed-term position (12 months) is based at Sherwood Energy Village, Ollerton, and involves working with Bassetlaw schools.
The role involves developing and delivering strategies and interventions to improve outcomes for children and young people with complex communication difficulties related to Autism Spectrum Disorder in Key stages 2-5. You will support schools and liaise with parents, using positive, inclusive approaches, supported by a dedicated team of teaching assistants. There is also an opportunity to deliver national and bespoke training programs as a licensed trainer for the Autism Education Trust.
We welcome applications from creative, collaborative practitioners from primary or secondary backgrounds. The role offers a salary on the Teachers Pay Scale plus TLR 2(a), one SEN point, and an authorised car user allowance. The post is hybrid and part-time (19.5 hours per week).
