The Role
* Leading and managing Music provision across KS3, KS4, and KS5
* Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and performance outcomes
* Developing a coherent and ambitious Music curriculum
* Overseeing concerts, ensembles, productions, and extracurricular provision
* Line managing Music staff and supporting professional development
* Monitoring pupil attainment and implementing targeted intervention strategies
* Managing departmental resources, budgets, and performance facilities
* Contributing to whole-school leadership and strategic planning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Music or a closely related discipline
* Experience teaching Music at secondary level, including examination groups
* Prior leadership experience within a department
* A strong track record of securing high academic and performance outcomes
* Excellent organisational, communication, and rehearsal leadership skills
* The ability to inspire musical excellence and pupil confidence
