We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team based in Peterlee. This pivotal role will provide expert employee relations support to our field-based managers, ensuring people matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.

Our HR Advisor Will Be
* Advising and supporting managers across the organisation on all things employee relations including performance, engagement, absence, welfare, capability and whistleblowing
* Managing complex employee relation cases, including safeguarding, with confidence and care
* First point of contact for general HR enquiries via phone and shared inbox
* Ensuring accurate HR record‑keeping and administering documentation like contracts, variations and references
* Ensuring consistent, fair application of HR policies and best practices
* Collaborating on exciting HR projects and policy improvements
* Partnering with other departments across the organisation to support the delivery of onboarding, talent development, management upskilling and offboarding
Our HR Advisor Will Have
* Proven experience working in an HR Advisor role
* Proven experience of confidently managing complex ER cases, ideally including safeguarding
* A CIPD qualification, level 5 or willingness to work towards is desirable
* Strong demonstrable application and knowledge of UK employment law
* Confidence in supporting, coaching and advising Managers in HR best practice, with the ability to challenge and influence constructively
* Comfortable working independently and adaptability in a fast‑paced and evolving environment, valuing a solutions-focused approach
We’ll Be Offering Our HR Advisor
* A competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
