Join us as a Data Engineer – you will be capable of building / improving our real‑time / streaming data platform that is critical for the equity derivatives trading and analytics systems.
You will be trained in KDB/q and other data engineering technologies used by the Equity Derivatives business, as well as financial data handling and analysis, and be part of a multi‑role / multi‑skill team responsible for enabling new and existing business activity.
Qualifications
* Data analysis using SQL and No‑SQL databases.
* Data pipeline design patterns.
* Software & Data Engineering skills.

* Programming Languages: KDB/q and Python.
* Data Streaming / Pub‑Sub systems: Kafka, Solace, Tibco.

Purpose of the role
To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Accountabilities
* Build and maintain data architecture pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
* Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
* Develop processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
* Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
