About The Role

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinkingSenior Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to carry out a Global role to lead the design, delivery and ongoingmanagement of mentoring initiatives across Gleeds. This newly created role, you will be responsible for the design, delivery, and programme management of mentoring initiatives across the organisation – starting with the rollout of a pilot female mentoring programmefocused on accelerating the progression, retention, and visibility of women in our business.

As the global mentoring lead, you will also be accountable for developing a broader mentoring strategy, ensuring mentoring is embedded as a core component of our talent development and inclusion frameworks. You’ll partner closely with regional People Development teams, senior leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure mentoring meets local needs while driving global impact.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead mentoring practices that influence careers, build capability, and create more inclusive pathways to leadership.

About You

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Work alongside the People Development Director to deliver the People Development Strategy aligned to the People Plan and business goals.
* Define and deliver a global mentoring strategy that supports talent development, succession planning and diversity and inclusion priorities and enhances mentoring capability across all levels.
* Programme design and deliver a Global Female Mentoring Programme (initial focus) aimed at supporting the development, retention and progress of women across Gleeds:
* Lead design planning and implementation of global female mentoring programme
* Stakeholder engagement
* Define and agree key performance indicators to support business case for global mentoring
* Programme management, evaluation and expansion
* Communication and reporting
* Integrating programme into other learning and talent programmes, including succession planning and leadership pipelines.
* Accountable for engaging regional and global stakeholders as programme sponsors and advocates to ensure global buy-in and support
* Providing thought leadership on mentoring best practice and trends internally and externally.
* Working with the People Development team to design and deliver learning experiences that support talent, inclusion and development strategies, including:
* Early Careers
* Management Development
* Leadership Development
* My Check-ins – approach to continuous performance management and development
* Working in partnership with the senior People Development team to provide a global people development proposition
* Driving continuous improvement of learning programmes through innovative approaches, data driven evaluation and stakeholder feedback.
* Work collaboratively with the wider People Team on people related projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Experience leading mentoring, coaching or development programmes ideally in a global or matrixed organisation
* Knowledge of learning and development best practices and proven track record in delivering the whole learning cycle
* Minimum 5 years L&D experience
* Expert facilitation skills across face to face and virtual learning sessions
* Strong understanding of digital learning innovation, including mentoring platforms, LMS and collaboration tools to support development initiatives
* Project and programme management skills
* Understanding of workplace Diversity and Inclusion

Qualifications:

* Preferably degree qualified
* Professional qualifications in L&D, HR or coaching
* Relationship management skills to work consultatively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels including:
o Ability to influence at all levels including senior leadership
o Ability to navigate cultural and structural differences
