Nurse Associate
We currently have an exciting opportunity for Nursing Associates to join our established community nursing teams in Derby City. This role will provide care for housebound patients in Derby City/Derbyshire borders.
Full time / Part time / Various hours considered across various core nursing teams within Derby City based at Village Medical Centre and Coleman Health Centre.
As a Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide community based individualised care to include promoting independence and self‑care, long‑term condition management and medication administration as well as completing various nursing assessments, following care plans and treatment regimes.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to progress and develop in the role. There may be an opportunity to apply for the Nursing Apprenticeship programme subject to successful completion of the probationary period and consolidation of the role.

* Work in a multi‑professional team, think on the spot, be empathetic whilst developing the art of the quality conversation to ensure effective conversation with our patients.

* Work alone and unsupervised.
* Have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community and clinical settings.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register; Level 5 Foundation degree specific to Nursing Associate practice.
* Placement experience working within the 4 fields of nursing.
Experience and Knowledge Required
* Understands and acts in line with the NMC professional standards for practice contained within the code.
* Understands the importance of following procedures and treatment plans.
* Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Knowledge of when to seek advice and escape to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice.
Skills and Attributes
* Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non‑verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload.
* Computer literacy and ability to demonstrate IT skills e.g. email, PowerPoint, SystmOne.
Other
* Ability to travel.
