GSL Education and schools across Sheffield (S2 and S3) are seeking committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support to pupils who benefit from individual guidance throughout the school day. About the Role Working closely with a named pupil, you’ll help remove barriers to learning by offering consistent academic, emotional, and behavioural support in and out of the classroom. Your Key Duties as a 1:1 TA Deliver focused 1:1 support aligned with individual learning plans Assist pupils with classroom tasks, routines, and engagement Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour Support social and emotional development Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN teams What We’re Hoping to Find in 1:1 TA Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis (preferred) A patient, nurturing, and reliable approach Strong communication and observation skills Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s in It for You as a 1:1 TA Weekly pay between £460 and £600, depending on experience Full-time and long-term placements available Supportive school environments with clear guidance A rewarding role where your support truly matters If you’re ready to make a lasting difference in a pupil’s day-to-day learning as a 1:1 TA, we’d love to hear from you.
