Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to administer medications accurately. Experience in a GMS setting is highly desirable.
This is a fixed term position, covering maternity leave, commencing February 2026. There may be the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Provide patient counselling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
* Conduct medication reviews and monitor patient outcomes to ensure efficacy and safety.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulations.
* Educate patients and healthcare staff on new medications and treatment protocols.
* Participate in quality assurance activities to improve pharmacy services.
* Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy and relevant clinical guidelines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* A strong background in patient care is essential.
* Proficient in medication administration techniques.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
