Testing Required:

On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at the designated location.

Emergency Response: Must support storm response and other emergencies impacting service.

Job Summary:

Ensure DTE Electric's solar assets operate at peak efficiency, mentor team members, and maintain equipment and communication systems. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintenance, repair, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

* Review solar plant designs and modifications.
* Support construction and quality control of solar projects.
* Recommend and implement performance improvements.
* Oversee aerial inspections and licensing.
* Lead testing and troubleshooting of battery energy storage systems.
* Perform remote diagnostics and resets.
* Coordinate facility tours and stakeholder engagement.
* Develop and update work instructions.
* Operate drone equipment for inspections.
* Lead emergency response and on-call activities.
* Conduct maintenance and respond to issues.
* Train less experienced staff.
* Document work activities and prioritize safety.
* Research industry practices and share insights.

Minimum Education & Experience:

* High School diploma or GED with 7 years of experience in design, engineering, construction, start-up, commissioning, or O&M of renewable energy projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Solar experience, Associate Degree in Electrical or related field, technical certificates, NABCEP certification.
* Knowledge of plant controls, electrical safety, photovoltaic technologies, and control systems.

Other Requirements:

* Travel ability, valid driver’s license, FAA drone certification, knowledge of OSHA standards.
* Proficiency with technical documents, electrical schematics, and working outdoors.
* Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
