We’re partnering with Muscle Food, one of the UK’s most recognised direct-to-consumer (DTC) food brands, on a key senior leadership hire.

Founded in 2013, Muscle Food exists to make healthy eating simple, accessible, and sustainable for everyone. Generating over £31M in annual revenue, the brand operates three successful propositions — MuscleFood.com, PreppedPots.com, and GoalPlans.com — serving customers with high-protein foods, meal kits, and tailored nutrition plans.

Following the 2025 reacquisition, the business is embarking on a bold new growth chapter — unifying its platforms into a single seamless store experience and redefining its brand for the next generation of health-conscious consumers.

This is a rare opportunity to join the senior team of an established, founder-led British brand at a pivotal moment of transformation.


The Opportunity

As Head of Marketing, you’ll own the brand, communications, and growth marketing agenda — combining hands‑on delivery with strategic leadership.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded, creative marketing leader with a passion for brand storytelling, data‑led performance, and customer‑centric growth.

In your first year, you’ll spend around 60–70% of your time driving execution, leading campaigns, social and creator strategy, and performance marketing — while shaping the long‑term marketing strategy and structure for scale.


Key Responsibilities


Strategy & Leadership

* Define and deliver a brand and marketing strategy aligned with commercial growth goals.
* Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape brand positioning and creative direction.
* Manage a six‑figure monthly marketing budget across paid, organic, influencer, and partnership channels.
* Identify new market opportunities and category expansion initiatives.
* Lead and grow a talented in‑house marketing team alongside agency partners.


Execution & Delivery

* Oversee multi‑channel campaigns across social, paid media, and lifecycle marketing.
* Drive creator and influencer partnerships to grow awareness and advocacy.
* Build a high‑impact short‑form video and content engine across TikTok, Meta, and other channels.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with eCommerce, Data, and Operations teams to align marketing with trading priorities.
* Improve CRM performance, segmentation, and customer lifetime value.


About You

We’re looking for a marketing leader who brings:7+ years’ experience in brand and marketing leadership roles, ideally within DTC, food, beverage, supplements, or wellness sectors.Proven ability to balance strategic brand building with hands‑on growth marketing.Experience managing large marketing budgets and teams across multiple channels.Strong understanding of performance marketing, CRM, and social‑first brand building.A collaborative, energetic leadership style with a passion for creativity and results.A genuine interest in health, wellness, and better living.


What Success Looks Like

Within your first six months, you’ll:

* Refresh and roll out new brand positioning and visual identity.
* Deliver high‑impact launch and awareness campaigns.
* Establish a test‑and‑learn performance rhythm that drives measurable growth.
* Build pace, creativity, and clarity within the marketing team.

Within two years, you’ll have the opportunity to progress to Director of Marketing, leading strategy, culture, and long‑term brand direction.
