Paddock Geo Engineering Limited (PGE) is a growing, well-established geo-environmental, geotechnical and site investigation consultancy delivering projects across the South of England, the Midlands and Wales. We work with a diverse client base ranging from regional housebuilders to commercial developers and mineral operators—offering our engineers real technical variety and responsibility.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior, Principal, or Associate-level Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer to join our Milton Keynes office, with genuine scope to shape projects, mentor teams, and progress into a long-term technical or leadership role.
The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Commercial
* Provide technical leadership across geo-environmental and geotechnical projects
* Mentor and line-manage junior and mid-level engineers
* Act as a key point of contact for clients
* Prepare tenders, fee proposals and quotations
* Contribute to business development and repeat client work
Technical & Project Delivery
* Deliver contaminated land assessments (Tier 1–3 / Phase I–II)
* Design and manage ground investigations using a full range of techniques
* Specify and interpret chemical, waste and geotechnical laboratory testing
* Design remediation strategies and validation works
* Produce high-quality interpretative geo-environmental and geotechnical reports
* Manage projects, programmes and budgets
* Undertake infiltration testing where required
* Maintain strong HSEQ standards across all works
About You
* Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Master’s desirable)
* Chartered or working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body
* Senior level: 5+ years’ experience
* Principal level: 8–10+ years’ experience
* Strong background in ground investigation, particularly geo-environmental work
* Sound understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy practice
* Competent in project management and mentoring junior staff
* Full UK driving licence
Experience with interpretative geotechnical reporting and knowledge of the EIA process would be beneficial.
