We’re on the hunt for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager with exceptional attention to detail, sky-high standards, and

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN
ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER AT THE MET HOTEL, LEEDS





You’ll be the right
hand to our Head Housekeeper, playing a crucial role in the daily operation and
success of the housekeeping department. From leading the team on shift to
ensuring every guest experience is seamless, you’ll help create a place that
feels as good as it looks.





Here’s what your day
might look like:






* Support
and collaborate closely with the Head Housekeeper in managing the
housekeeping department

* Lead
and motivate the team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and guest service
throughout the hotel

* Conduct
regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure standards are met
and exceeded

* Be
ready to step in wherever needed — whether it’s resolving a guest issue,
assisting the team, or handling unexpected challenges

* Oversee
training and ongoing development of housekeeping staff to build a
high-performing, confident team

* Manage
stock levels, inventory, and supplies, to ensure smooth day-to-day
operations

* Liaise
with maintenance, front office, and other departments to ensure a seamless
guest journey

* Spot
issues before they become problems — whether that’s stock levels, staffing
needs, or a squeaky door hinge

* Be
a role model for pride, professionalism, and positivity — your team will
follow your lead

* Previous
experience in a senior housekeeping role within a hotel is essential

* Proven

communication, organisation, and decision-making skills

calm, solutions-focused approach to challenges and busy shifts

* A
hands-on attitude — you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves
