Police Scotland Digital Division are looking to recruit an experienced Communications Support Engineer to fill the role of Airwave Communications Officer within the ICT Radio Communications team. In this role you will be responsible for the implementation and support of Police Scotland’s communications infrastructures including radio communications, body worn video, CCTV and digital interview recording. You will ensure the communications infrastructures support the needs of Police Scotland and other external partners on a 24/7 continual basis.
You will be educated to HNC level in a relevant Electronic or technical discipline or possess an equivalent professional industry qualification in a related technical discipline or a combination of technical qualifications and relevant experience.
You must have experience in customer facing engagement and development and delivery of communications to technical and non-technical audiences.
Currently Police Scotland have guidance in place that allows appropriate roles to be operated on an agile basis should you have an interest in working more flexibly then we would encourage your application.
This full-time post is temporary for 18 months and requires Management Vetting.
You will work 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm.
The post-holders will be required to take part in an On-Call rota for Mission Critical systems for which an allowance will be paid.
A driving licence is required for this role.
