Stanley Spencer was a British artist who grew up in Cookham, near the Thames and is well known for his paintings depicting biblical scenes. At Sandham we have 19 painting by Spencer that depict his memories of his time in the army and one of his famous resurrection pieces. The chapel was built for these paintings and is an incredibly significant memorial to the First World War. The role of Chapel Operations Assistant reports to the Site Manager and you’ll be working alongside another Chapel Operations Assistant and our volunteers, as well as team members within the wider portfolio.Click here for more information about this locationAs a member of the team at Sandham you will be involved with the daily operational tasks, as well as getting stuck in with all other aspects of running the chapel, including marketing, exhibitions, volunteer management, group visits, conservation and compliance.
