A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team.
The role of Electrical Engineer exists to provide cradle to grave responsibility for overseeing the design, manufacture installation and commissioning of electrical and control engineering aspects of turnkey/multi-disciplinary contracts.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:-
1. Electrical system design on ELV, LV & MV works
2. Be competent in Auto CAD and AMTECH software
3. Be competent in writing electrical specifications
4. Liaise with Mechanical team
5. Technical evaluation of supplier proposals to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
6. Integration of third-party equipment into the overall system design.
7. Vendor document review and approval to ensure adherence to project specifications
8. Provide tendering and estimation support to the Business Development team.
9. Support Project Planning and Commercial Management teams.
10. Ensure compliance with Contract Quality Plans to meet client and regulatory requirements.
11. Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical installations.
12. Develop Health & Safety Plans for electrical work.
13. Conduct risk assessments for electrical hazards.
14. Ensure adherence to industry safety standards
15. Client and stakeholder engagement.
16. Post contract documentation and handovers.
17. Producing technical reports.
18. Ensuring regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
19. A qualified electrical engineer with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in the design and construction of industrial plants
20. 18th Edition
21. HND (desirable)
22. Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification
23. DSEAR qualified (desirable)
24. Strong communication skills at all levels
25. Knowledge and experience of power systems up to 11kV (desirable)
26. Knowledge and experience of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS)
27. Understanding of current legislation and practice relating to electrical and health and safety
28. Strong IT skills
29. Hold UK Driving Licence
