Are you an experienced conveyancing professional looking for a busy, varied caseload and to play a key role within a high‑performing team? Our client is seeking a Property Lawyer (Transactional) to join their Conveyancing Department, managing up to 100 files across a broad range of residential property matters.
The Role
You’ll handle a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish, including:
* Freehold, leasehold and commonhold sales and purchases
* Re‑mortgages, equity release and transfer of equity matters
* Drafting reports, raising/replying to enquiries, title investigation, searches, mortgage applications and completion work
* Post‑completion tasks including SDLT, HMLR/HMRC requirements and sending deeds to lenders
* Overseeing and delegating work to a Paralegal and Legal Assistant
* Supporting colleagues across the wider department when required
This is a self‑sufficient role, ideal for someone confident in producing their own work to a high standard and comfortable working with case management systems and Microsoft packages.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX or equivalent from experience
* Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of the conveyancing process
* Experience managing a full caseload independently
* Confident decision‑maker with excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and delegate effectively
Desirable:
* Experience using Proclaim Case Management System
* Law degree or equivalent
