We’re partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to appoint a Legal Director to support high-impact, cross-border M&A activity, with a particular focus on the US market.
This is a senior role advising on complex international transactions that directly shape business strategy.
The Role
You’ll lead legal support across the full deal lifecycle, including:
* Advising on US-focused M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, minority investments)
* Leading legal due diligence and negotiating transaction documents
* Acting as a senior advisor to corporate development and deal teams
* Managing external counsel on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
* Supporting a portfolio of strategic investments
What We’re Looking For
* US-qualified lawyer or significant experience leading US M&A transactions
* 10+ years’ experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house environment
* Strong track record in cross-border M&A
* Commercial, pragmatic approach with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Nice to Have
* Financial services / insurance sector experience
* Experience working across multiple legal systems
* Additional language skills
