Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff, ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and wish to gain valuable experience in the culinary field within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Duties
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients.
* Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Participate in regular cleaning schedules to maintain hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Skills
* Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
* A willingness to learn and develop culinary skills within a supportive team.
* Good communication skills to work collaboratively with chefs and other kitchen staff.
