Join us as a Clinical Leader Driving Excellence Across Our Services We are looking for an Ultrasound Principal in Obstetrics based at Scarborough for 30 hours per week. As part of the role you will:
1. Provide senior management to Advanced Practitioner Sonographers, operationally managing the day-to-day business.
2. Be responsible for policy development, impact evaluation within the service, including directorate targets and KPI's.
3. Provide expert clinical leadership, mentorship, and supervision, ensuring evidence based practice, service improvement, strategic planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and standardised quality across all sites.
Main duties of the job
4. The post holder is accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of clinical services within the areas of designated responsibility, both on a day to day and long-term perspective.
5. Ensure that developments, service reviews and planning are in line with the strategic and operational objectives of the Trust.
6. Responsibilities include: Skill mix review, post redesign, recruitment, employment, induction and review.
7. The post holder will ensure that all staff in the areas of designated responsibility are competent, and where applicable registered to practice, engage in relevant professional development and comply with professional standards.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
23. Diploma/degree in relevant profession and registration of relevant professional body (e.g. Health Care Professions Council)
24. Masters Level Qualification in relevant field or equivalent management Experience at band 7 Level for at least 5 years'
25. Evidence of formal post graduate training in a Health Services Management Programme and / or demonstrable experience comparable to this level
26. Evidence of a portfolio of CPD
Desirable criteria
27. Evidence of accredited advanced / validated post graduate education relevant to management responsibilities and / or clinical care / evidence-based practice (e.g. MSc modules)
28. Membership of relevant Clinical Interest Group
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
29. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of Human Resource processes essential for staff management and service development, including supervision of junior staff
30. Demonstrable record of management of complex health related performance management targets
31. Experience of change management, policy development, organisational change, service development
Desirable criteria
32. Experience in clinical teaching relevant to clinical specialist area
