With a reputation for reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our field teams and ensure the smooth delivery of services.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations across our drainage services. You will oversee scheduling, resource management, and compliance while driving efficiency, safety, and customer service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong problem-solving skills and an ability to manage a fast-paced, reactive service environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage field engineers and office support staff, ensuring effective coordination of drainage works.
* Oversee job scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment management.
* Ensure health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations are adhered to at all times.
* Monitor KPIs such as job completion rates, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
* Lead and motivate teams, providing training and performance management where required.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high service standards are met.
* Manage budgets, costs, and operational reporting for senior management.
* Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in operations management, ideally within drainage, utilities, or construction services.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Knowledge of drainage systems, health & safety compliance, and industry best practices.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and reporting.
* IT literacy (Big Change, Microsoft office).
* Full UK driving licence.
