Bazaarvoice is looking for outstanding people who are passionate about building great software and want their work to have real-world impact.
Product data is one of the driving forces of Bazaarvoice and is at a scale that is difficult to comprehend. This engineer will join the team working on our Product Catalog platform, which stores and distributes data about more than 2.2 billion client products, with over 200 million updates ingested daily. This data powers experiences such as our syndication network, allowing clients to collect and share user-generated content like ratings and reviews. In social commerce, this data helps create smarter shopping experiences with social content.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of professional software development experience.
* Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Scala, Javascript, Typescript.
* Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
* Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Github Actions is a plus.
* Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
* Experience with version control systems (Subversion, Git).
Desirable
* An interest in event-driven serverless architectures using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
* Familiarity with streaming technologies like AWS Kinesis or Kafka.
* Familiarity with search engines like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, etc.
