Participating in the Tier 1 resident doctor rota (FY3–ST2 equivalent) on the neonatal unit to include shifts on intensive care, high dependency, special care and transitional care.
* Cover the delivery suite bleep and attend high risk deliveries.
* Perform postnatal ward and community reviews.
* Develop procedural skills including peripheral cannulation, central line insertion (umbilical and long line), lumbar puncture and tracheal intubation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our busy tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care team on the resident doctor rota (FY3–ST2+ equivalent).
Qualifications
* Minimum of 24 months clinical experience post medical school graduation (UK, 12 months required).
* Prior neonatal experience not required but beneficial.
* Named educational supervisor will be assigned at the start of the post; supportive CPD and study leave available.
Appointment
* Initial appointment for 6–12 months, potentially renewable with agreement from both parties.
* Based on the unit: 8–10 WTE ST1‑7+ paediatric/neonatal deanery trainees; other roles (Clinical Fellows, Research Fellows, MTIs, ANNPs) contribute to the SHO and Registrar rota.
