Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the smooth running of the mill in line with customer requirements.
The Role:
1. Operate the oat milling plant efficiently and safely during your shift;
2. Keep the plant clean and organised by following the mill cleaning schedule;
3. Maintain accurate records for quality control, safety checks, and shift reports;
4. Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery to avoid downtime;
5. Ensure continuous product flow and minimal disruption to production;
6. Conduct quality checks and record operational data accurately.
The Person:
7. Computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Office;
8. Strong mechanical aptitude or engineering background;
9. Previous experience as a process controller, plant operator, machine minder, or technician;
10. Excellent record-keeping and administration skills;
11. Effective communication and the ability to work well in ateam environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
12. Familiarity with SCADA systems or other automated control platforms;
13. Strong mechanical aptitude orengineering background;
14. A Forklift licence;
15. Food related qualification e.g. HACCP and Food Hygiene;
The shift pattern will be a three on three off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights with an average of 42 hours per week.
