Job ID - 167048My client has over 25 years of experience in the hydraulic engineering sector, delivering turnkey solutions including design, overhaul, manufacture, installation, and commissioning services across a wide variety of sectors including industrial, manufacturing, marine, construction and MOD to name a few. Due to an extended period of growth, they are now looking for a machinist to join their team within the workshop.£15–£17 per hour (£31,200 - £35,300 per year)Overtime paid at 1.5 and 2.0 on Sundays.20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing throughout time served, company pension.Monday to Friday working 40 hours (8am – 4.30pm)Key responsibilities include but not limited to -Operate machining equipment including Colchester lathes and milling machinesMachine precision components such as piston rods and bushes from samples or engineering drawingsRead and interpret engineering and machine drawings accuratelyStrip down and assess hydraulic and mechanical equipmentCompile job sheets and technical reports for pricing and workshop recordsWork to delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standardsCollaborate effectively with workshop team membersRequirements -Minimum 5 years' experience operating lathes and milling machineryHands-on engineering or machine shop experienceAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong planning, organisational, and communication skillsUnderstanding of mechanical fabrication and machining techniquesTime-served engineerHNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering preferredEligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered)If you are an experienced Workshop Machinist with experience working with milling machines and lathes and are looking to progress your career, then this is a great opportunity for you.Reach out to me at SER Limited on 01254781300 or email me at“ser – in”TPBN1_UKTJ
