We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, results-driven Sales Assistant to join the My 1st Years team and work at our concession stand in Selfridges Birmingham. The successful candidates will be able to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals and meet customer expectations. This is a part-time role for 20 hours per week. You will need to be available to work from the beginning of July 2025.

Promoting the brand to gain new customers
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Be involved in stock control and standards.
Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
Replenishing the stand with the merchandise.
Answering queries from customers.
Reporting discrepancies and issues to the manager.
Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
Balancing sale receipts.
Dealing with customer refunds.
Keeping the stand tidy and clean at all times.
Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner.
Working within company guidelines.
Build productive trust relationships with customers
Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
Responsible for security on the stand
Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock
Person Specification:
Having a friendly and engaging personality.
Basic IT skills required
Comfortable working and approaching members of the public.
Should have a confident manner.
Must be helpful and polite.
You should have retail sales experience
Able to work as part of a sales team
Flexibility around shifts required
Full machine training will be given

Salary: £12.25 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week, various shifts.
