The London Borough of Merton is seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead our dedicated OT service within Adult Social Care. This is a particularly exciting time to join us, as we are progressing through a period of service transformation that is focused on improving outcomes, strengthening community-based support, and enhancing the experience of residents who access our services.
You will provide strong professional leadership and clinical oversight to a skilled team of Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants, promoting high-quality, strengths-based and person-centred practice. You will work closely with our First Response Team, Hospital @ Home Team, and Reablement Team to support integrated pathways that focus on prevention, early intervention, timely hospital discharge and maintaining independence.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration
* Has proven leadership or supervisory experience within health or social care
* Demonstrates sound knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding responsibilities, and best practice frameworks
* Is committed to delivering high-quality, equitable and inclusive services across diverse communities
* Works well under pressure and is solution-focused, resilient, and adaptable
