Main duties of the job We require someone dynamic with excellent communication skills. The housekeeper role incorporates an array of non-clinical duties. Some of the duties include being responsible for the ordering and organisation of stores, co-ordination and delivery of catering, ensuring the ward is a welcoming environment to patients, visitors and staff and the inputting information into computer programmes. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to GCSE standard (grades A-C) or equivalent Working towards NVQ Level 3 in related subject. Desirable criteria Qualification in related subjects or working towards e.g. intermediate food hygiene certificate Basic food hygiene Certificate. Experience Essential criteria Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of planning and organising daily activities across a variety of disciplines.
