About the Role Our client, a reputable construction, demolition, and earthworks contractor, is seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of ongoing projects. The successful candidate will assist senior management in the coordination, planning, and execution of demolition, earthworks, and enabling works schemes across various sites. Key Responsibilities * Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering demolition and earthworks projects. * Assist with developing project programmes, progress reports, and documentation. * Liaise with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. * Help manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation. * Monitor project progress, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification. * Assist with preparation and review of RAMS, permits, and quality documentation. * Attend site meetings and contribute to progress reviews and planning sessions. * Ensure all work complies with Health, Safety, Environmental, and CDM regulations. * Maintain accurate records, reports, and site documentation. * Provide administrative and technical support to senior management as required. Key Skills * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Good understanding of construction or civil engineering processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Excel, Project, Outlook). * High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Strong awareness of site safety and compliance procedures. Experience & Qualifications * Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in the construction industry, ideally in demolition, groundworks, or civil engineering. * Experience in a Site Engineer, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Project Management role desirable. * HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. * Valid CSCS card required. * SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid at Work certificates preferred. * Full UK driving licence required.
