Job Purpose
Delivery driver. To ensure the safe and accurate loading and delivery of chemical products, equipment and goods for the fulfilment of customer orders.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Work closely with warehouse operators to ensure safe and accurate loading of vehicles for delivery and fulfilment of customer orders.
2. Maintain vehicles in a clean condition and ensure routine maintenance checks are carried out on vehicles as and when required.
3. Report any issues regarding damage to products and equipment identified before delivery to customers to the Warehouse Supervisor so that the problem can be satisfactorily resolved.
4. Load vehicles in accordance with documented processes and work instructions and ensure full compliance with all road traffic regulations and codes of practice.
5. Understand and comply with all policies and processes including quality procedures and instructions, environmental processes, health and safety and personal practices.
6. Carry out any reasonable duties relating to storage, handling and delivery of products and equipment required by Directors.
7. Deliver to customers across the length and breadth of the country. Early starts are common. Experience of driving a Luton sized van with tail lift is preferable.
8. Use of Pallet trucks as well as "handballing" boxes will be a daily task.
