We’ll broaden your horizons. BDO’s Tax Accounting Group is a team of tax professionals specialising in tax accounting and tax audit work. Led by an equity partner, we offer an exciting and high-quality career path for ambitious individuals. This role involves providing tax audit support for our largest, high-profile audits across various sectors and groups.
You will act as a tax accounting specialist for our non-audit clients, assisting with complex provisioning engagements, GAAP conversions, carve-out accounting, and acquisition accounting. Our clients include FTSE companies, AIM-listed companies, large inbound businesses, and private equity-backed firms. You will manage multiple tax audits, serve as the main contact with audit teams, and collaborate with junior staff and tax partners to deliver quality work.
Additionally, you will work on ad hoc projects, applying your tax accounting expertise across different contexts to benefit our clients. You will be a key contact for tax accounting queries within the wider tax and audit teams and participate in coaching and training junior members. We prioritize your growth when you join us.
To succeed, you should demonstrate the following skills: prior experience in tax accounting and tax auditing, a desire to specialise in this area, knowledge of tax accounting under FRS102 and IFRS (US GAAP experience is a plus but not mandatory).
Other requirements include general corporate tax experience providing advisory and compliance services, good project management skills, and experience coaching junior staff. You should be comfortable working with senior management and stakeholders, with a degree, CTA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
