GSL Education are seeking a creative, organised, and enthusiastic Librarian to join a welcoming and supportive school in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is dedicated to promoting literacy, supporting independent learning, and managing a vibrant school library environment.
In this role of Librarian, you will:
* Manage the daily running of the school library, including book lending, returns, and stock organisation.
* Promote reading for pleasure and support whole-school literacy initiatives.
* Support pupils with book selection, reading development, and research skills.
* Maintain accurate library records using digital or manual systems.
* Organise reading events, displays, and literacy-focused activities.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum-related resources.
* Maintain a safe, calm, and engaging learning space.
What You’ll Bring as a Librarian:
* Previous experience in a library, school, or educational support role (desirable).
* A passion for books, literacy, and supporting young people’s learning.
* Strong organisation, communication, and IT skills.
* A friendly, patient, and proactive approach to working with pupils.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
