Job summary Are you a newly qualified or experienced B1 Licensed Engineer? and looking for your next challenge?Perhaps in a new location? If so, our client are currently hiring B1 Licensed Engineers on a permanent basis at their MRO facility in Bournemouth.
Matchtech has partnered with a key player in the aerospace MRO sector and is currently recruiting a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer for a permanent position at their Bournemouth Airport facility.
Responsibilities
* Take charge of allocated aircraft and equipment maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, to spec, and in line with Maintenance Manuals and the Company Exposition.
* Lead and support technical staff, prioritise workloads, coordinate schedules, and assist in team development.
* Step in for the Chief Engineer when required and help drive day-to-day operations.
* Oversee accurate, timely completion of maintenance records; review team performance and drive improvements in standards, practices, and overall efficiency.
* Coordinate engineering activities to hit performance targets within budget, while maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Essentials / Qualifications
* UK CAA Part 66 Licence with relevant type ratings and company approvals.
* 3+ years' experience in an LAE or equivalent role within base maintenance; relevant type training provided where required.
* In-depth knowledge of base maintenance operations and aviation regulatory requirements.
* Effective Leader & Communicator: team player with strong communication, influencing, and customer-facing skills.
* Confident, self-driven, and change-ready; committed to organisational values and medically fit for on-site and off-site engineering work.
