Location: Motorsport UK, Bicester Motion


Hours of Work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week). Core hours are 09:00 until 17:30, Mon – Fri. 4 days on site, 1 remote.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Join Our Team as a Business and Marketing Insight Manager at Motorsport UK!


We are looking for a strategic and insight-driven Business and Marketing Insight Manager to elevate how Motorsport UK harnesses data across Marketing, Membership and the wider organisation. This role is about more than reporting. It is about creating the intelligence engine that powers better decisions, sharper strategies and a richer experience for our community. Your work will directly support our mission to retain current participants, renew those who’ve stepped away, and recruit new people into the sport.


You will lead the development of our insight capability, bringing clarity to complex datasets, shaping how we measure success, and enabling the organisation to better understand our members, audiences and marketing performance. This is a role for someone who thrives on influence, collaboration and strategic impact - someone who can turn numbers into stories, stories into decisions, and decisions into progress.


Primary Objectives

The primary objectives associated with this role will be:


* Lead Motorsport UK’s marketing and membership insight function, embedding data-driven decision making across the organisation.
* Build and own dashboards, KPI frameworks and performance reporting for digital channels, membership, marketing campaigns and participation.
* Transform data into actionable insights that directly support membership growth, participation pathways and organisational priorities.
* Provide strategic analysis across marketing, commercial, digital, membership and event datasets to power long-term planning.
* Partner with senior leaders to shape insight-led recommendations that influence marketing strategy and organisational priorities.


Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the primary objectives listed above, the Business and Marketing Insight Manager will be responsible for:


Insight & Performance

* Create clear KPI frameworks aligned to our strategic vision.
* Develop and maintain dashboards that monitor marketing campaigns, membership trends, digital behaviour, and participation performance.
* Analyse member lifecycle data to understand acquisition, retention, churn and engagement patterns.
* Evaluate campaign ROI, digital effectiveness and long-term marketing impact.


Strategic Analysis

* Consolidate data from CRM, digital platforms, events systems, membership databases and financial reporting.
* Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency and improved engagement.
* Provide scenario modelling and forecasting to support organisational planning.
* Conduct market, audience and motorsport landscape research to inform strategy.


Organisational Partnership

* Work closely with the Creative, Commercial, Member Services, Sporting and Finance teams to align insight with operational goals.
* Support partner and sponsor reporting with strong, data-driven narratives.
* Guide the organisation in best-practice research, evaluation methodologies and evidence-based decision making.


Member Voice & Experience

* Lead Motorsport UK’s member survey strategy, embedding member insight into product development, service delivery and experience improvement.
* Translate feedback into clear recommendations that help strengthen our member experience - a core Vision 2030 enabler.

Core Competencies

Below are the core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to be successful in this role:


* Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
* 5+ years experience in marketing or business analytics, ideally within a membership-based, sport, consumer or event-driven organisation.
* Advanced proficiency in insight tools: Excel, SQL and visualisation platforms (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
* Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics (Google Analytics, social insights, advertising platforms).
* Experience with CRM and marketing systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
* Proven ability to balance detail with strategic insight.
* Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.


Desirable Competencies

* Experience with predictive analytics, automation or machine learning.
* An understanding of cohort analysis, regression, segmentation or statistical modelling.
* Experience within the sports, motorsport or membership sector.
* A passion for motorsport and enthusiasm for its culture, community and future.
